Browser-side encryptionYour note is encrypted in your browser using AES-256-CBC before it ever leaves your device. The encryption key is generated locally and appended to the share link as a URL fragment (#key), which is never sent to our server.
Zero knowledgeWe store only the encrypted ciphertext and IV. Without the key in your link, the note is unreadable — even to us. We could not read your note even if we wanted to.
Auto-expiryNotes are automatically destroyed after the expiration you choose. Once expired, the encrypted file is permanently deleted from our server.
Optional passwordAdding a password means the recipient must enter it before the note is decrypted. The password hash is stored separately and verified server-side before the encrypted payload is delivered.
Secure storageYour browser encrypts your data before sending it to us — we never see the unencrypted version. The encrypted data is then stored on our PCI compliant infrastructure, and our servers never have access to your encryption key.
Warning: This note will be permanently destroyed after the first view. Do not click the link yourself — send it directly to the recipient.
